Marocchinate
1944 sack
Marocchinate refers to a barbaric form of torture and punishment that originated in medieval Italy during the rule of the House of Habsburg. It involved cutting off the victim's genitals and then stuffing them or sewing them back into the vagina or anus, respectively. This was often done while the victim was still alive. The name 'Marocchinate' comes from the mistaken belief that this practice was common among the Berber people of Morocco.
